The Kingdom of God is already here, yet it is not here in its fullness—the seed has been sown, but the harvest is still to come. Jesus’ parable reminds us that God’s Kingdom often grows in ways we cannot see, understand, or control. We are called to faithfully sow through prayer, love, forgiveness, generosity, justice, and sharing the good news, while trusting God with the growth. The “already and not yet” means we can expect God to act while also making room for suffering, unanswered prayers, and seasons when His work seems hidden. Our hope is that the seed will ultimately become a harvest when Jesus brings all things to completion. The Kingdom is here, the seed is in the ground, and we are called to faithfully sow and live with hope.
