Connect Groups are at the heart of life at Mahurangi Vineyard Church. We believe faith is meant to be lived in community — not in isolation. God designed us for relationship, growth, and shared journey.
Our Connect Groups are places to belong, build genuine friendships, and walk through real life together. Whether you’re new or well-established, these groups create space to grow in loving God, loving people, and living life with purpose.

Connect Groups
Men’s Group - Led by Matt Gerrand
Starting: 26th January, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Monday’s
Time: 8pm to 10pm
Location: 30 Amanda Lane, Snells Beach
Description: Band of Brothers is a powerful and life-giving space for men to get real, go deep, and walk together through the highs and lows of life’s battlefield. It’s a safe place to share, be known, and champion one another. No pressure to attend every week or stay the whole time - just come as you are and be strengthened by genuine brotherhood.
Faith Founders Group - Led by Quentin and Ronel Strauss
Starting: 2nd February, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Monday for 4 weeks
Time: 7.30pm to 9pm
Location: 5 Pupurangi Road, Warkworth 0910
Description: This group is all about strengthening your walk with Jesus by exploring the core truths of our faith. Together, we’ll look at the lives of key biblical figures, unpack foundational Christian beliefs, and create space for questions, discussion, and growth. Whether you’re new to faith or wanting to go deeper, this group will help you build a strong, secure foundation to stand on.
Kai & Korero - Led by Sheralyn and Lee Cotton
Starting: 2nd February, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Monday’s
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Location: 35 Sandspit Road, Warkworth
Description: If you’re new to church or simply curious about faith, this is the perfect place to connect and explore. Share a potluck meal, chat openly, and bring your questions as we navigate the journey toward Jesus together. Each gathering includes a faith question to consider as a group, creating a relaxed space for honest conversation and meaningful connection.
Holy Spirit Fellowship Group - Led by Shanna Olivier
Starting: 12th February, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Thursday’s
Time: 9.30am - 12pm
Location: 81A Thompson Road, Warkworth
Description: We’re kicking off the year by working through John Bevere’s The Awe of God, with a central focus on deepening our fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Together, we’ll explore a variety of study materials and sermons while enjoying coffee, snacks, and warm connection. Come be encouraged, challenged, and inspired as we grow in awe of God.
Families Group - Led by Jenna Binnie and Lisa Lowe
Starting: 8th February, 2026
Frequency: Monthly on Sunday’s
Time: 12:30pm (after church)
Location: Various locations (communications will be sent out each month)
Description: Bring the whole family and connect with others in a relaxed, supportive environment. This group is designed for relationship-building, encouragement, and fun — a place where families can grow together and enjoy genuine community. Come as you are and be welcomed.
Little Words, Big Impact - Led by Lisa and Greg Bindon
Starting: 5th February, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Thursday’s for 5 weeks
Time: 7:30pm to 9pm
Location: 42 Viv Davie-Martin Drive, Warkworth
Description: We all have bible verses or song lyrics that God has used to impact our lives…some just for a season, and some we hold on to forever. In this group we’ll be encouraging each other by sharing the little words that have had a big impact on our lives. Sharing is encouraged but totally optional! We’ll ask a few people to share each week. And as usual, we’ll spend a good chunk of time catching up over dessert and coffee first. All ages and stages are very welcome.
New Christians (Alpha) Group - Led by Niall Presland-White
Starting: 1st February, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Sunday’s
Time: 12:30pm
Location: Remote
Description: New to the Christian faith or want to learn the basics? Join our Alpha Course, a great starting point for understanding Christianity and exploring faith. This is an online connect group, so you can join anytime. Each session will be sent via email every Sunday at 12:30pm. We have Area Leaders who will connect with you directly for support.
Young Adults Group
This is a group for anyone aged 18 to their late 20s. It’s a relaxed, casual space designed to fit around the busy lives of young adults who want to connect, chat about life, and explore a biblical worldview as the next generation of adults and leaders. Meeting times are flexible and based on availability. The group is supported by Niall Presland-White and Christina Wylie.

Starting Term 2
Life Group - Led by Stephanie and Alistair Lane
Starting: (Term 2), 23rd April, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Thursday’s for 6 weeks
Time: 7pm
Location: 2/16 Piccadilly Circus, Snells Beach
Description: Life is full of hustle and bustle, which makes it all the more important to pause and build strong relationships together. In this group, we’ll dive into Scripture, grow in faith, and enjoy meaningful fellowship in the midst of life’s busyness. Come be refreshed, grounded, and connected.
Prayer Group - Led by Jane and Derek Hollis
Starting: (Term 2), 22nd April, 2026
Frequency: Weekly on Wednesdays for 4 weeks
Time: 7pm
Location: TBC
Description: Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have as Christians. Scripture shows us that Jesus prayed constantly, and His example stirs us to do the same. In this group, we’ll spend time praying together, listening to one another, and growing as disciples. Standing with each other in prayer is an act of faith - trusting God in every circumstance. We look forward to standing with you.
