Volunteers are the heartbeat of Mahurangi Vineyard. We genuinely couldn’t do what we do without the people who give their time, energy and gifts to serve others.

We believe God has uniquely gifted every person, and that those gifts are meant to be shared. Whether you love people, working behind the scenes, creating things, serving children, fixing things, making things happen or simply getting stuck in wherever needed - there is a place for you.

Serving is also one of the best ways to get connected at Mahurangi Vineyard. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a willingness to say yes and have a go.

We have four broad areas of serving:

PEOPLE

We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, valued and connected.

From the moment someone arrives on a Sunday to the conversations that happen over coffee afterwards, our people teams help create an environment where people can encounter Jesus and find a place to belong.

Teams include:

  • Welcome

  • Morning Tea

  • Prayer

  • Leading Connect Groups

If you’re a people-person, love encouraging others or simply enjoy making people feel at home, there’s a place for you.

CHILDREN & YOUTH

We believe the next generation isn't just the church of tomorrow - they are an important part of the church today.

Our children and youth teams have the privilege of creating safe, fun and faith-filled environments where young people can encounter Jesus, build friendships and grow in their relationship with God.

Teams include:

  • Creche

  • Tribe

  • Amped

  • Youth Group

  • Youth Camps & Special Events

Whether you're passionate about teaching, leading games, mentoring young people, helping behind the scenes or simply being a positive presence, we'd love to have you involved.

TASK

A lot happens behind the scenes to make church happen!

Our task teams help care for our buildings, prepare spaces, feed people, run events and make sure everything is ready to go.

Teams include:

  • Cleaning

  • Property & Maintenance

  • Gardening & Grounds

  • NA Cooking

You don't need to be an expert. If you’re practical, organised, enjoy getting stuck in or don't mind getting your hands dirty, we'd love your help.

TECHNICAL & CREATIVE

There are plenty of ways to serve using technical, creative and musical gifts.

Our technical and creative teams help create spaces where people can worship, hear the Word, engage with what's happening and connect with God.

Teams include:

  • Worship

  • Sound

  • ProPresenter & Media

  • Photography & Video

You don't have to be an expert to join. We love helping people develop new skills and discover gifts they didn't know they had.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

Our calling doesn't stop at the church doors.

There are also opportunities to serve through the practical ways Mahurangi Vineyard engages with our wider community — including food support, NA catering on Tuesday, outreach and special community initiatives.

These are great opportunities to put faith into action and show people the love of Jesus in practical ways.
