The 'H' Word - with Michael Frost

The doctrine of Hell, (whilst not always a popular conversation topic) has been a central theme of Christianity for a fairly long time. Directly or indirectly, I believe that what we believe about hell affects what we believe about God, Jesus; and the whole point of Creation really!

"Is God actually good and fair if he would send all these people to hell for eternity? Is our time here on Earth merely a testing ground so we can do good works to avoid hell? What about Divine Justice? Did Jesus die to save us from hell?" etc etc....

In my experience, when even beginning to look at these questions it automatically starts a snowball effect of similar or even more complicated questions.

If you have wrestled with any of the above, then this is the event for you!

Michael Frost is a husband, father, researcher, writer and theologian from Auckland, New Zealand. His popular podcast "In the Shift" has been discussing some of these (and other) themes over the last little while. He has kindly offered to come to facilitate a time of learning and discussion on this tricky topic!

Monday June 17, 7-9pm at the Factory.

Please RSVP if you are interested; and feel free to email Lexi on: info@freedom.ac.nz if you have any further questions.

Have a look at the In the Shift website here: https://intheshift.com/ If you'd like to listen to Michael's podcasts in this series, here's the link to the first one: https://intheshift.podbean.com...
