Springboard Community Works is a faith based charity in Snells Beach, North Rodney that has been empowering young people and their families to build a better future since 2002.
We are on the hunt for an energetic, passionate and dedicated person to take on the mixed role of working with these youth in an educational setting.
You will be the Tutor of a Level 2 Certificate programme called ‘The Hub’ aimed at educating a class of 16-18 years olds whom for various reasons; mainstream schooling hasn’t worked.
While education is the focus of this programme; it does not come seperately from creating a sense of belonging in our whanau, equipping the young person to be working toward their best life, mentoring and developing them in relational, life and employment skills.
You will have a hand in developing the programme content, facilitating assessing, leading and teaching in a small classroom setting.
Training and support provided, however previous experience in working wth youth will be prefferred, along with profficient literacy and numeracy skills/knowledge.
Springboard’s mission is to work with vulnerable young people and families within our community. To empower them with essential truths, skills, and mentors to facilitate personal transformation whilst increasing connection to the community.

A full New Zealand drivers license is essential in this role as you will be transporting youth. You must be currently living in New Zealand.
